Princess Beatrice is taking the style crown.
King Charles' niece, 35, topped Tatler's newly best-dressed list, edging out the likes of Cruz Beckham and Lady Starmer. The magazine dubbed Beatrice the "princess of perfection," praising her as a "beacon of sartorial elegance, pairing vintage-inspired cuts with fresh-from-the-catwalk glamour."
But Princess Beatrice wasn't always hailed for her fashion instincts. Following the 2011 wedding of her cousin Prince William to Kate Middleton, she was heavily criticized for her look, specifically the instantly infamous Philip Treacy "pretzel" hat (which she later auctioned for charity).
Charlie Anderson, former stylist to Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, previously told PEOPLE, "They got hammered in the press, and it was a little unfair."
Princess Beatrice has since refined her style, and Anderson said, "I think they are mostly getting it right. I think they have got more daring, although they have both always been quite daring, and they seem to be getting to know themselves better."
These days, Princess Beatrice often reaches for a floral dress, like she wore at Wimbledon on July 9 or during a school visit on July 23 to highlight the importance of sun safety in her role as patron of the British Skin Foundation.
She made a style statement at the November opening of Monique Lhuillier's London flagship store in Mayfair, sporting a rose gold sequined dress paired with a matching capelet by the designer.
Princess Beatrice also had two stunning outings at Royal Ascot this summer. On June 19, she stepped out in a floral print midi dress by Zimmerman (the same garment chosen by her aunt, Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh, at another event that month) paired with a statement headband.
Two days later, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson donned another summery dress by Emilia Wickstead paired with a yellow hat as she took part in the event's Royal Procession.
But perhaps her top outfit was both sentimental and imaginative: recycling her grandmother Queen Elizabeth's vintage ivory Peau de Soie taffeta dress by Norman Hartnell as her wedding dress in 2020. After her original plans were canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Princess Beatrice opted to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a scaled-down ceremony sporting the ultimate royal rewear (complete with the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, which was worn by Queen Elizabeth on her 1947 wedding day to Prince Philip).
Another woman with a royal connection also made Tatler's best-dressed list: Queen Camilla's sister, Annabel Elliot. The outlet praised her "graceful satin sets and velvet suits," noting that her "style has stayed suitably grand since her appearance beside Camilla at the coronation."
Annabel, 75, recently joined Queen Camilla, 77, at Wimbledon, with the sisters matching in cream ensembles.
