More than 1,000 people were vaccinated at a COVID-19 mass vaccination Saturday at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s Wailuku Medical Office.

All shots were by appointment only for both Kaiser members and nonmembers, according to a news release from the organization.

The mass vaccination was the first on Maui.

Shots also are being administered at Kaiser Permanente Maui Lani Medical Office and Kihei Clinic locations most weekdays.

Eligible Kaiser members can schedule vaccination appointments online at kp.org. Nonmembers may sign up for a vaccination appointment online at kp.org/covidvaccine.

“We want to make it easier and more convenient for kupuna and others to be vaccinated so we can start to put the pandemic behind us,” said Jill Riggs, Kaiser director of clinic operations, Maui.

Eligible Kaiser members can schedule vaccination appointments online at kp.org. Nonmembers may sign up for a vaccination appointment online at kp.org/covidvaccine.

Kaiser members who have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine can call the public vaccine hotline at 1 (855) 550-0951 or go to kp.org/covidvaccine.
